Our doctoral candidate is Manuel Fernando Mollon-Laorca. Manuel Mollon earned his degree in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Signal Processing in 2021 from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), where his thesis focused on developing a sensor network to measure the air quality index. During his studies, he gained valuable industry experience working in data analytics and data science. In his professional career, he contributed to projects such as optimizing operating rooms, predicting surgery times, and other applications of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and signal processing.

From 2023 to 2024, Manuel pursued a Master’s degree in Deep Learning for Audio and Video Processing at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), where he presented his thesis on the application of large language models (LLMs) for protein-DNA binding prediction.

In his free time, Manuel enjoys playing the guitar, golfing, and playing chess.
