Introduction to Diatoms of Forensic Importance – 11.-15. May 2026

I greatly appreciated the combination of theoretical background and hands-on practice during the diatom workshop. The course was especially valuable for improving my understanding of diatom in the forensic science. Great opportunity to learn directly from highly experienced specialists in a collaborative and engaging environment.

I appreciated the diatom workshop in Tallinn both for its scientific value and for the friendly and convivial atmosphere throughout the event. The informal environment helped strengthen group cohesion, making the workshop a valuable team-building experience as well. I found the presentations related to forensic medicine particularly interesting, as they highlighted the applications of diatoms in this field.

Introduction to forensic palynology – 09.-13. June 2025

Despite warm temperatures in Italy in June the PhD students really enjoyed the workshop Introduction to forensic palynology. Especially learning about morhology and the highly interesting practical parts were very much appreciated as a useful tool for their future work.

It was a very good workshop where students had a lot of chances to interact with the group and the professor. Additionally, students highly appreciated the chance to see an autopsy at the Institute of Legal Medicine.
